2024 Hopkins Classified Staff Award Nomination Form - Now Open

The E.L. & Z Irene Hopkins Foundation has generously provided Hopkins Awards to all Lyon County schools for over 20 years.  In the past, they have done two types of awards; Project Awards and Individual Awards.  This year the Hopkins Foundation has decided to try something new. This year our focus will be on our Heroic Classified Educators.  Through previous Project Awards, our licensed educators have been the focus, and this year they would like to recognize the other staff that make the day-to-day operations happen and impact our students in the best way!

 AWARD CRITERIA

* The award recipients will have performed in a noteworthy way, making a difference in a student's or another staff member's life.

ELIGIBILITY

*The recipient must be a classified, full or part-time staff member in good standing.

*Nominations can come from employees, students, parents, and community members.

*The person making the recommendation must provide a brief statement, using this form, describing the action or contribution of the employee and its benefit.

*All nominations should be submitted using the online form.

SELECTION PROCESS 

*Nominations will be accepted now through February 15th.

*The selection committee will review nominations in late February.

*Potential winners will be verified with the direct supervisor.  

AWARDS & RECOGNITION

*Winners will receive cash awards of $500 (minus taxes) to be used at your discretion.
